  • Thoughtful and Irenic

I’ve really enjoyed both the content and the tone of this show. Both of the hosts are clearly thoughtful and well informed. Each of them is rooted in the historic Reformed faith but appreciative of the wider Christian tradition. This is theological conversation at its best.

“Reformed Podmatics” is a great podcast and well worth your time.

Jesus, the Psalms, and Reformed Worship w/ Rev. Peter Holtvlüwer - Episode 209
Q: How can pastors help people see the connections between Christ and the Psalms?
Encouraging congregants to look for Christ in the Psalms during worship and teaching, and using catechism classes to highlight how Psalms reflect Christ's experience and teachings will help them make those connections.
Jesus, the Psalms, and Reformed Worship w/ Rev. Peter Holtvlüwer - Episode 209
Q: How have you found Christ in the Psalms?
I've found that the Bible presents Christ as the fullest expression of God's self-revelation, making it natural to see Him throughout the Psalms, particularly as they are quoted and alluded to in the New Testament.
A Conversation with Todd Zuidema of Dordt University - Episode 196
Q: What is the current student enrollment at Dordt?
Dordt has just short of 2,000 students, with around 1,600 being residential undergraduates and the rest in graduate or dual credit programs.
A Conversation with Todd Zuidema of Dordt University - Episode 196
Q: What is Dordt's vision? Why did it start?
Dordt University started in 1955 as a two-year vocational college to fulfill a need for teachers in Christian schools. It developed to a four-year liberal arts college with over 90 degree programs and a commitment to being Christ-centered and infused with Christianity in all aspects of education.
The Priesthood of All Believers: Comparing the Reformed & (Ana)Baptist Views - Episode 194
Q: What do you think? Can anyone administer the sacraments?
I think no, not just anyone. Is there any biblical, clear biblical backing for this?
