Fantastic initiative. Much needed.
Good topic for Ken, who has firsthand knowledge on the topic. This should be a priority with young people, who hesitate to enter the military but can give in so many other ways. How better to instill pride in our country and selflessness over greed. We need to do this now before a whole generation is lost. Keep up the good work Ken.
National service can be an invaluable tool in our response to so many challenges, from educational inequality to climate change to food insecurity to civic engagement. This podcast highlights the importance of the issue and the amazing servant leaders who have emerged from both the military and national service worlds. Great stuff!
What an important topic—and in a time of cynicism and partisanship—national service is such an inspiring idea and vision for the country.
Ken Harbaugh is an incredible host and the guests are great!
Love this! There’s never been a better time for national service. Would love to see a massive expansion of national service right now. A great solution to help respond to COVID-19 and get young people back to work.
Perfect timing for a discussion series on this topic - kicking off with two excellent people.
This is an idea that was talked about quite a bit during the primary, especially by Pete Buttigieg (who is featured in the first podcast) and it couldn’t be more timely. No matter what your politics are, you have to admit that our country feels like it’s tearing apart. There are MANY things we need to do, but elevating national service should be at the top of the list. Looking forward to hearing not only from politicians and business leaders, but “regular Americans” who went through programs lik... more
Great messages. Thank you for the introduction to Rep. Houlahan.
Excellent podcast! But I would have expected nothing less from Ken Harbaugh.
Always a pleasure to listen to Pete Buttigieg
If all politicians had his attitude towards politics as a public service not as a show, the USA would be a much better place!
Keep it up Pete!
Enjoyed the talk. I think national service would be good for so many things like P.Buttigieg suggested. Look forward to further episodes
Excellent interview with Rep. Houlahan!
First episode was great. National service isn’t a topic you see covered in many places, but is something that deserves more attention.
Loved the first episode. Great topic right now for America.
Cannot WAIT for this pod to drop
