  • Delivers current events in fun way but kind of annoying

UPDATE: Mélissa heard my feedback and those “I hear you, I’m following along” sounds are so much better. Big improvement!

It’s a fun podcast and I like how it feels like a casual conversation about what’s going on in their lives and current events. My only complaint is the constant “mh-hmmm’ and ‘uh-huh’ Mélissa says while Michael is talking. Every once in a while sure but it’s too much and is distracting. Sometime I just skip the episode if it’s too much. If they could reel that in the podcas... more

  • More experts?

I’m glad they’ve found their footing, and the legal stuff is so interesting! Often wrong about the political/policy details of issues which is a little painful from my place inside of it in DC but I know a mic gives you confidence. Maybe bring on more experts outside of entertainment

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

From Reality TV to the Republican Party (w. Suzanne Lambert)
Q: What drew you to create the makeup-artist depiction of MAGA Republican women, and how was it received?
The hosts discuss how the makeup video resonated broadly, drawing both praise and backlash, and Suzanne explains that the approach was about satirizing a shared cultural moment and encouraging reflection, rather than attacking individuals.
Karoline Leaves It + Epstein Updates (w. Congressman Garcia)
Q: What does Congressman Garcia believe needs to be released from the Epstein files, and why?
He notes that about half of the files have been released and argues that the unreleased material could contain key inter-agency communications and discussions with the president, which are critical to understanding the full scope of the investigation.
From Runway to Reality Check: The ANTM Exposé (w. Cycle 2 winner Yoanna Margaret)
Q: Yoanna, after you won, is that when you signed a contract for the year ahead and did you get an opportunity to show that contract to anybody else, or did you just sign it trusting the show?
Yoanna explains that the contract required numerous appearances and tied her to many obligations; she felt pressure and eventual debt, with limited opportunity to work freely, highlighting how the win did not guarantee straightforward advantages and that the network prioritized appearances over her independent career goals.
Technical Difficulties on Death Row (w. Corinna Barrett Lain)
Q: What advice would you give to somebody who's interested in immigration law but doesn't have time for a full degree?
Get involved with a local nonprofit doing immigration work, leverage your specific skills (communications, social media, research), and start there to gain exposure and contribute meaningfully.
Diva! Conspiracy Girlies! (w. Karen Kilgariff + Martha Kelly)
Q: Can I make an official announcement and let people know ICE is there or help them hide?
You can make a general announcement about ICE presence, but avoid framing it in a way that helps specific people evade the law.
