  • Bottom of the Barrel Geezer Teaser Rage Bait

I unfortunately stumbled across the live show and was immediately struck by how this show is the lowest rung on the rage bait media ladder. It feels like the audio equivalent of a rage room for the elderly as its host plays on their fears, rage and inability to understand an ever-changing world.

One of the segments I had the misfortune to listen to was about crime stats presented by a city politician. The host and a very passionate if not slightly unhinged guest talked about how this politicia... more

  • Absolutely determinative quite frankly

John and Randy are the best, not a joke. We aren’t talking about no wobbly knees allies. These guys are the real deal. Period. Full stop. Huh. Eh. Huh. Absolutely absolutely one of the best shows to listen to. They’re so hot they could melt a basketball court. They’re so smart they know is the cashier is dummy. John’s a fan of pippy long stocking Madonna or something and Randy loves Santa Fe and wine. The best 3 hours of the day followed by Randy’s show at 5. Day one listener from the Randy wang... more

  • Spot on!

John and Randy keep us informed on California news and politics. They bring in great guest speakers that share their knowledge of their particular experiences and expertise. John keeps us laughing at the right times and serious at the right times. I find myself laughing in my car and much more in tune with the daily news of today.

This is the only way to listen to johns show. I used to listen to the lve broadcast however the show seems better as a podcast as the host seems to be on vacation more then he is on air. His cohost randy is a great in his own way but his role as #2 makes the show great and not so good when he is solo. Basically when john is there i listen. When he isnt i go “on vacation” too.

Susan Shelley on LA County being on track to pass a tax hike
Q: What were the funding sources and who stood to benefit from Measure ER, and how does that influence the perception of the measure?
Funding involved health organizations and unions, such as St. John's Community Health and SEIU locals, which raised concerns about who benefits from the tax and how that aligns with voters' affordability concerns.
Susan Shelley on LA County being on track to pass a tax hike
Q: Your thoughts on why late-counted ballots in LA County shifted the result for Measure ER.
Late-counted ballots appeared to favor the measure, prompting questions about the reliability of late-count results and the role of ballot timing in shaping outcomes, with implications for future election laws and voter confidence.
Chuck Devore on The LA Election Results
Q: What do you make of what happened in the Pratt election, given California's liberal voting laws?
The guest suggests that the jungle primary and late-voting dynamics, along with newer trends, may explain some outcomes, while also noting that the DSA's involvement and ballot collection raise concerns about how ballots are handled and counted.
Cal Thomas on the California Election Results
Q: What do you think his take would be?
Cal Thomas suggests that political commentary would shift if a well-known figure were to reassess or challenge the current narrative, highlighting how veteran perspectives would react to modern media and political dynamics.
Robby Soave on the appeal of Socailist candidates in California
Q: What do you think the working definition of socialist is for these people?
The working definition often centers on democratic participation in economic well-being rather than government ownership, with emphasis on how policy shapes day-to-day life and opportunities.
