  • Absolutely determinative quite frankly

John and Randy are the best, not a joke. We aren’t talking about no wobbly knees allies. These guys are the real deal. Period. Full stop. Huh. Eh. Huh. Absolutely absolutely one of the best shows to listen to. They’re so hot they could melt a basketball court. They’re so smart they know is the cashier is dummy. John’s a fan of pippy long stocking Madonna or something and Randy loves Santa Fe and wine. The best 3 hours of the day followed by Randy’s show at 5. Day one listener from the Randy wang... more

  • Spot on!

John and Randy keep us informed on California news and politics. They bring in great guest speakers that share their knowledge of their particular experiences and expertise. John keeps us laughing at the right times and serious at the right times. I find myself laughing in my car and much more in tune with the daily news of today.

This is the only way to listen to johns show. I used to listen to the lve broadcast however the show seems better as a podcast as the host seems to be on vacation more then he is on air. His cohost randy is a great in his own way but his role as #2 makes the show great and not so good when he is solo. Basically when john is there i listen. When he isnt i go “on vacation” too.

I love John’s humor and lightness, even when discussing serious issues. Very informative about state and local issues, especially digging into corruption. Ads are intrusive and badly placed, but that’s the way it goes

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Tom Wolf on the improvements to the drug problem in San Francisco
Q: Can you explain your take on harm reduction and whether current approaches help or hinder long-term recovery?
The guest argues that harm reduction can be dangerous if it sustains drug-use behavior by providing supplies and services that enable ongoing use, advocating for a greater emphasis on recovery-ready housing and treatment options.
Tom Wolf on the improvements to the drug problem in San Francisco
Q: So your mayor, Daniel Lurie... how do you assess the city's progress on homelessness and drug markets?
The guest offers that while unsheltered homelessness has decreased and certain districts show fewer tents, open drug markets persist, and the city's data can be cherry-picked; meaningful progress is seen with some arrests and enforcement in day-to-day operations, but systemic issues remain.
Clean LA with Juan Naula
Q: For people who don't know your background, how did you start cleaning up LA and decide to make it a mission?
Juan explains he moved to LA from Virginia and was shocked by the trash; his personal experience, family story, and the sense that cleaning up became a therapeutic drive to use his time and resources to address what he saw on the streets.
Spencer Pratt Sits Down With Elex Michaelson
Q: Talk to us about the most basic question. Why are you running?
Pratt explains personal loss from a neighborhood fire and perceived government negligence, framing his entry into politics as a response to prevent future disasters and to counter longstanding officials with a focus on accountability and practical solutions.
David Tangipa on the state of the Governor's Race
Q: From the point of view of a taxpayer, which candidate for governor would be the worst?
Tangipa emphasizes that Tom Steyer is seen by insiders as the worst for taxpayers due to his stance on the billionaire tax and the argument that it does not go far enough.
