  • I don’t miss this show

I’ve been listening for years, and my day just doesn’t feel right until I hear Armstrong & Getty in the morning. The icing on the cake is that both Jack and Joe are genuinely worth listening to on their own — something that’s rare with duos in my experience. The show is packed with smart commentary, big laughs, and great fun every day. Katie and MichaelAngelo are the perfect herbs and spices that make it even better!

  • Love the show, hate the extra podcast clutter

Guys, I already listened to the full episodes. Stop cluttering up the podcast feed with the short episodes that repeat interview interviews that are already in the main shows.. Start a separate podcast feed if you want to do that.

  • Rage-bait

Listened to these guys for 11 years before finally realizing it’s strategic rage-bait designed to pad their pockets and keep you continually angry. Beware.

Switched to the Love Worth Finding and Dr. Charles Stanley sermon podcasts and my soul has been restored after the rot of this show.

  • Fair and balanced

You will hear both sides of world events, politics and current events. They call out republics and democrats. And have very informative guests. A&G do not tell you what to think. They just give you the info straight. And they are quite funny I LOL often.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A Strong Possibility of Doom
Q: What did you make of the jailbreak story recently?
Fowler describes it as a cue that AI is venturing into science-fiction territory, but the core concern is understanding real-world risks and ensuring safety for kids and users overall.
He'll Defend Your Right to Say It. Greg Lukianoff Talks to A&G.
Q: What is your simple explanation to a young person about why the free exchange of ideas matters?
Freedom of speech is the engine of innovation and peace, a tool for authentic self-government, and the best mechanism to resolve conflicts through persuasion rather than violence; without it, societies drift toward coercion and stagnation.
Iran: Hanging on for Dear Life. Mike Lyons Talks to A&G
Q: What is the overall capability of the Iranian military at this point?
Lyons characterizes Iran as heavily degraded but not defeated, with hundreds of missiles and asymmetric capabilities that make high-intensity strikes dangerous but not decisive; the conflict is a battle of attrition rather than quick, decisive action.
Iran: Hanging on for Dear Life. Mike Lyons Talks to A&G
Q: How accurate is the assessment that opening the strait would be between impossible and very difficult?
Lyons suggests that, given the geography and the Iran countermeasures, the effort would be prolonged and resource-intensive, requiring a sustained and overwhelming force, but not a guaranteed success; the plan faces significant risks and ambiguity about achieving open passage.
The Flow, the Magic & the Poetry
Q: Hey Mike, what did you think of this? How big a deal was this? Was this just a little love tap or something more substantial?
Mike Lyons stresses that the strikes appear aimed at key air-defense and command-and-control targets, suggesting a significant, not just symbolic, action, but he notes the risk of escalation and the ongoing debate about how long the campaign should continue.
