I was really impressed by the format of the podcast. It could have been quite dry, but the treatment really worked and was warm and accessible. Made archiving, the small details of preserving files like underscores fun. I think working with creators who each needed help in that area worked as one can put themselves in their place. This podcast will save you a lot of heartache if you’re a podcaster!
These five episodes go a long way to help podcasters organize and ultimately preserve their files, but let me just say, as someone who does not have a podcast, that the organizational plans discussed on Preserve This Podcast are useful to anyone who has a desktop full of folders, Word docs, PDFs, etc. And even if meta data is something you're generally not dealing with daily, isn't it nice to finally understand them?
I consider myself a pretty organized person and up on technology and how to run and maintain my podcast. So when I was recommended this new show, Preserve This Podcast, I thought it probably wouldn't be that useful.
Boy was I wrong! I tore through the five available episodes real fast, and while I already have a number of the techniques in place to "preserve my podcast" (Ostium), there were many more ways and ideas I learned about that were just fascinating and made a lot of sense.
