These three guys are pushing Hollywood's penchant for recycling existing ideas to it's illogical but hilarious conclusion. The pitches are funny and they make sense within their own slightly demented world.
The one downside of this is that someday, somewhere, an actual producer is going to take one of these as seriously as Trump takes an Onion headline and God help cinema for what will be loosed upon the world.
I saw this pop up on the iTunes front page so I thought I'd give it a chance. These guys are so funny! I love their takes on weird one-off movies. Where else would you get a podcast about a Spice World or Kazaam??? Great stuff!
Oh my gosh I seriously look forward to this every week. It's SO witty but also really well-informed (the guys are all total movie nerds but aren't condescending about it, and they deftly drop in context/background necessary to appreciate their 'pitches.')
I especially appreciate that it's tightly edited so that it avoids that trap of podcasts to sometimes just sound like a group of funny guys hanging out - rather, it's polished and thoroughly hilarious.
