The idea behind this podcast is fantastic. Host Howard Casner is knowledgable, astute and engaging and he has assembled a brilliant guest list. Every episode is replete with stimulating and often amusing discussion and you’re almost guaranteed to walk away with at least one exciting new recommendation every time.
Highly addictive and highly informative!
The episodes are a perfect length; long enough to really get into some in-depth revelations and striking comparisons, but short enough so that I can get through a whole episode on my long walk. The audio quality is good too which makes for an enjoyable listen. Great work!
A very unique podcast making links between some of the best pieces of cinema and film ever, which makes for a truly fascinating listen. I loved the comparison between Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Jekyll & Hyde!
Every episode is always full on stimulating discussions and critical thinking on the culture, plots, themes and so on of the movies discussed. Howard is a great host and always fun to listen to - my favorite episode so far has been Empire Strikes Back vs The Battle of Algiers!
Super amazing podcast with the best! Highly recommended!
When I first discovered Howard’s show, I thought, how fun! Upon listening, I realize just how much thought and care goes into choosing and pairing the films. Very insightful!
Howard is knowledgeable with wit and candor. I like the way he sheds light on the history of a movie. It’s like hearing from a friend telling you about the film.
Wonderful, very smart, and fun!
