Going against the grain of buddy-style in-joking makes this a breath of fresh air in the movie podcast scene. Tansy produces instead a modern-Hollywood chronicle with running critique, and a clear personal style that resembles an Australian Karina Longworth. It’s well worth your time.
I found out about this podcast from a Reddit comment, and decided to check it out! I binged the entire series in about a week, this is such an informative, thoughtful and entertaining podcast. Highly recommend!
Fantastic behind the scenes research and narrated well. I hope there’s new episodes coming soon.
Top notch research, great narrative explanation, and just an all-round good audio documentary to learn about how studios made movies.
This is well worth your time. Every episode is well researched and wonderfully presented. Tansy manages to push beyond the information and highlight the effects of some decisions made during the process of making a movie. For anyone that loves movies and is curious about how they get made this is an insightful and engrossing podcast you won’t regret trying.
