Just like the filmcast, the constant insertion of far left politics has left this podcast unlistenable.
David does great work reviewing tv and film but not everyone agrees with your politics. Leave them out of your content or start a political podcast.
It's so interesting coming to this podcast from the filmcast. My take away is that you need at least two people as a buffer for David Chen. When he's 50% of the conversation, there is just more time for him to get off his pretentious, condescending, and often outright bad takes. He's insufferable on this show.
Please stop saying like 2000 times an episode I can’t unhear it and it really grates!
This used to be an interesting podcast where smart people analysed tv shows like Westworld and Severance to explore the themes and storylines in the shows, but recently and especially the White Lotus critiques have seemed to focus on criticising the shows for what they aren’t rather than looking at and discussing what the show is doing.
