This isn’t a podcast for ASOIF fans anymore. It’s just two people with mics talking non stop about all of the mistakes the show runners have made and how unhappy they are with the show….comparing everything to modern American politics to boot. It’s utterly painful to listen to now. Why listen to a podcast that’s just people complaining about something that brings me so much joy? I’ll try again when David returns…maybe.
Not getting a famous quote from Queen Elizabeth & turning it into something it’s not meant to be unfortunately illustrates exactly what this podcast now is David has left. Keep it light ladies we’re talking about Game of Thrones not serious political agenda, 👍
Used to love this podcast. But like, I just can’t anymore. We get it. You’re gay. You’re queer. You’re trans. But like hell do you have to shove it down our throats literally every 30 seconds. I’m sorry. I can’t. Don’t hate me.
This shows review of the House of Dragon, is a logical at times and just full of trite labels. The dialogue goes something like this, "misogyny, misogyny, misogyny, and patriarchy." Somehow Rhaenyra, is letdown by the writers because she makes poor decisions. And then they try to defend her by saying that well her decisions are dumb, but she was dropped into a really unfair situation and no one could've done a good job. It's dumb because it's all through the lens of 2026 which is just so stupid.... more
This show, with the previous hosts, was fun and informative. I didn’t always agree with their takes, but I enjoyed the show nonetheless. Now, listening to the show almost immediately brings me down. There is always some super negative take about the show. It’s usually the same complaints.
I’ve listened to Kim Renfro before, but I don’t remember her being so depressing. I should mention that for the first st two seasons of HOTD, I was mid at best. But these two are on another sub level. This re... more

A show focused on deep-dish breakdowns of a high-profile fantasy series, pairing spoiler-free impressions with thorough episode-by-episode analysis. Hosts—an experienced film/TV reviewer and an entertainment journalist—discuss plot threads, pacing, and thematic currents (power, gender, class), often comparing on-screen events to the source material. The conversations frequently weave in production, storytelling mechanics, and book-vs-show differences, making it useful for fans who want both accessible reactions and richer interpretation. A notable pattern is balancing critical insight with approachable banter, while occasionally including meta-commentary on adaptation choices and representation. The format also features long-running coverag... more
