I’ve been listening to this show since 2019 but.. boy has it jumped the shark. I injecting all analysis with super woke modern politics is kind of missing the point. They are contained universes written with characters that are thematically relevant to the setting. They aren’t all stand ins or allegories for modern politics. This has been the worst year and your podcasts have been a highlight of the week. I feel adrift when you are taking a break and so glad you are going back to watch the rings of power. More, more, more. So thoughtful, funny. A perfect mix of film tech, the lore, the texts, and you own experiences. What a treat to hear discussions of women in power. My absolutely favorite podcast!
