  • A Brilliant Show For Wedding Creatives

This is one of my favourite podcasts to listen to (usually on a long journey to a shoot). Insightful, interesting, and will introduce you to wedding creatives that might inspire you in a way you needed and didn’t expect!

While being based in the UK (Specifically Scotland), it’s not a parochial podcast, it can relate to wedding creatives regardless of where in the world you are based.

    Also they like coffee.

  • Great for Seasoned Pros and Newcomers

I highly recommend this podcast to folks in the wedding community or those interested in getting started. Simon and Gregg clearly know how to find some awesome photographers with refreshing perspectives to interview. I’ve found them helpful in developing my own business operations, gathering inspiration, and honing philosophy.

If you’re just getting started into this series I highly recommend the interview with John Dolan. I attended a workshop with him and in a brief time I learned so much.

  • Content is good

I try to listen and I really like the hosts but it gets so bad with the "UMS". I find myself so distracted I cant finish the show. Show 83 was so bad with every other word from the person interviewed was UM I had to stop and move on. Usually its the word "like" every other word that gets me. And it seems if one starts it then everyone starts "uming" and "like-ing". Sorry guys.

  • Like listening to friends

I’ve only just discovered your podcast! Where have I been? I just love it. Being a wedding pro at the best of times can be an isolating job. It’s even more so during this ridiculousness. But tuning into you guys, transports you to a coffee bar, sat with your pals, talking about the work you love. Informative and entertaining. I’ve loved every one of your episodes. Cheers guys. X

I usually have a conversation to ensure there's a strong connection and that they understand my process, which is very much about film first and documenting their day honestly and beautifully.
The Art of Observational Wedding Photography with Tracy Jade
Q: Tracy, what can people expect from your talk at Thrive?
I hope to mimic what a wedding photography portrait shoot might look like decades ago, focusing on how to observe and communicate without directing.

I focus on a documentary observational approach when it comes to weddings, working with clients who don't want their event centralized around pictures.
