Every episode of Particular Pilgrims I have heard through the Man of God Network has been excellent. Pastor Ron's text is concise and precise, and his delivery has been engaging and informative. Highly recommend this for the Reformed person, the historian, the scholar, or anyone interested in unheard stories of people who might otherwise have gone forgotten or uncelebrated.
This podcast is one of the greatest in particular Baptist history without a doubt, bar none. Knowing and understanding the lives, ministry, doctrine, trials, failures and strengths gives so much encouragement in life’s journey. Everyone of these short discourses should be written in a book. Thank you for keeping this amazing church history podcast going. I deem this in the top 5 and want to encourage others to listen, tell others. I know you will be blessed and encouraged as I have been. Pastor ... more
I’m so grateful to have found these wonderful little podcasts! Ron does an excellent job of pithily extracting interesting incidents and developments in particular Baptist history, and applying them to church life today. I’m part of a small particular Baptist church in the UK which has its origins in the 17th century, so my heart burns as I hear about the roots of our theology and the godly men and women who went before. Praise God! Thank you for your labour Ron!
For a good while now, I have enjoyed listening to Ron the Baptist's Particular Pilgrims. It is a great blessing to me! Before it was given an individual podcast setup (ie, while the Man of God Network still released episodes for all their podcasts in one overarching podcast form) I had already listened to every episode. What a wonderful resource! I always look forward to a new episode from Pastor Ron. He needs to write us a book of these short narratives!
Pastor Ron Miller’s show, “Particular Pilgrims” is a trove of treasure. He combines biblical spirituality, church history, and historical theology in palatable segments.
There is no resource, that I am aware of, that gives us this much devotional application from Particular Baptist history. Glory to God!

Short, narrative-driven episodes spotlight particular Baptist history figures and episodes from the 18th–19th centuries. Stories center on missionaries, pastors, and early church educators, weaving biographical detail with historical context and brief reflections on faith, ministry, and community impact. The format favors concise, devotional applications drawn from historical events, making the content approachable for listeners interested in theology, church history, and Reformed Baptist heritage. A notable strength is the emphasis on little-known lives and practical lessons that feel relevant to modern church life, often connecting personal piety with broader historical movements.
