  • Interesting and informative!

Not only is it a pleasure to listen to Wendy Lloyd’s mellifluous tones, but this podcast casts a new light for me on what makes a good film review and what to be aware of when reading or listening to one. It is good to know that these days we have much more access to different points of view and reviewers come from different backgrounds and experiences. Well worth a listen!

  • The Voices We Should Be Hearing

As a longtime fan of film and avid consumer of film writing, I am finding this podcast extremely interesting. Such a wide and vivid selection of voices that accurately mirrors the actual worldwide film audience. • Sideways is always a better view

Wendy Lloyd struts past the big boys of cinema criticism and introduces us to a whole new way of looking at film. Black, feminist, FEMALE .. she reminds us that without these viewpoints, we’ve only seen half the picture.

  • A fresh take on film

In a world overflowing with movie podcasts, to find one with such an original perspective and unique take on film is very refreshing. It can be very easy to undervalue the importance of criticism in the history of film, but Wendy and her guests remind you that it plays a vital role in filmmaking to this day.
