The thing about machines is that we expect them to keep chugging on – to never break or falter. In the late 1990s, a mixed martial artist named Mark Kerr found himself struggling to shoulder the weight of that expectation. Mark was a winner – a muscu... more

Al is surely one of the best / most informed interviewers in the biz
Hands down the best. Al’s questions and observations are always sophisticated and resonate with audiences expert and novice. I especially appreciated the September 5 interview, which was handled with much more nuance and acknowledgement of the ongoing issues than I could have been. I may have no sympathy for Palestine and their barbarian tactics and culture, but I appreciate that the interview was conducted to sway in nether direction, which is essential for journalism.
I have listened to and loved this podcast for years. I come here to escape the world news media insanity political opinions of every one etc… and now this is slipping into that and out of the purity of scripts, film and writing.
We don’t want ANY of your ideology or narrative pushed on us as subtle as you may think you’re doing. It’s not. Please keep it neutral on point and welcoming to all people.
I would give five stars but Al Horner waffles on at the start way too long.
You are just a wonderful and thoughtful interviewer. Thank you for your excellent podcast.
