  • Don’t download

I downloaded one episode of this podcast and now cannot get it to delete from my library. I listen to podcasts all the time and I know how the app works. This one refuses to go away and I regret downloading it. Apple won’t respond to the issue. Maybe the podcast makers will help.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

'Good Boy' Director Ben Leonberg (and his dog Indy!)
Q: How did you manage the sound design for good boy since Indie doesn't speak?
The sound design was crucial since we couldn't convey dialogue; we had to build the entire soundscape in post-production to match Indie's non-verbal performances.
'Good Boy' Director Ben Leonberg (and his dog Indy!)
Q: What can you tell us about working with Indie and filming his scenes?
Filming Indie required a unique approach where we often used treats to guide his performances; every shot had to be carefully planned around his unpredictable behavior.
'Play Dirty' Director Shane Black
Q: Did you find yourself playing around with those tonal shifts in editing?
Absolutely, tonal shifts are crucial, and we continually consulted peers during editing to ensure the balance was right. It's about finding a unique blend of humor and gravity.
'Play Dirty' Director Shane Black
Q: How do you conceptualize and execute something like the opening racetrack sequence?
Conceptually, I focused on balancing scale with character, ensuring the action remained lively and that the humor did not overshadow the narrative.
'Play Dirty' Director Shane Black
Q: What was your relationship to these books before that you made the movie, and at what point did you start seriously thinking about making a Parker adaptation?
I've been a fan of Westlake's work for years, particularly his Parker series, and the desire to adapt them seriously grew over time due to their complexity and entertainment value.
