  • Keep up the good work

As a retired investor, I have really found listening to this report very informative. I only wish there wasn’t a big lag from the taping to its broadcast, only because it seems that there’s so much that happens between Wednesday and Friday. I would almost rather wish that it would be taped on Friday and released on Monday, but I know that there are logistical reasons for why you do what you do. Also, I will miss Kathy a lot, but look forward to hearing what Collin has to contribute. Keep up the ... more

  • Odd that…

…Liz Ann and Kathy neglected to mention that Duh Donald’s Fed Tsarina nominee is Ron Perelman’s boy-in-law. Or that Perelman poured millions into Duh Donald’s campaign. Or that Perelman wants to annex Greenland and has massive investments in - wait for it!- Greenland. Or that Perelman demands Duh Donald Bomb! Bomb! Bomb! Bomb!! Bomb!! Iran!!! Not to mention Duh Donald’s Fed Tsarina pick liked to chat with Jeff Epstein and read his obedient name in Duh Epstein Files.

  • Keep up the Good Work

I have been a loyal listener every week for over a year. Embarrassed to admit that I first saw Liz Ann twenty or more years ago on CNBC and thought she was a blond bimbo. I now think she is one of the if not the most astute equity strategist in the business media. Kathy is great, just wish she was a bit more cheerful (just kidding). Appreciate the weekly review and looking ahead to the coming week. Two fantastic professionals.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Inside Today’s Labor Market: What Jobs Data & AI Are Really Telling Us (With Nela Richardson)
Q: Why is the weekly ADP data important compared to the monthly government data?
Weekly data provide a real-time pulse, catching shifts that monthly data miss, and when benchmarked against the government data, they align closely in the longer term, offering timely insights for decision-makers.
Inside Today’s Labor Market: What Jobs Data & AI Are Really Telling Us (With Nela Richardson)
Q: How does AI fit into the current labor market picture, and what shifts have you observed in occupations due to AI?
AI exposure varies by occupation; more complex jobs with older workers tend to be augmentative, while some younger, simple-task roles have seen declines. Overall, AI is reshaping tasks within occupations, not eliminating them wholesale.
Inside Today’s Labor Market: What Jobs Data & AI Are Really Telling Us (With Nela Richardson)
Q: What is your current assessment of the health of the labor market right now?
The labor market is fairly solid overall, but it lacks dynamism; hiring flows are weak even as the stock of jobs is strong, with volatility concentrated in a few sectors like healthcare.
Mixed Signals & Moving Targets
Q: How do you see the relationship between CAPEX and GDP growth?
While CAPEX is driving growth, the accompanying labor market stagnation suggests a mixed outlook on consumer spending moving forward.
Mixed Signals & Moving Targets
Q: What do you think about the impact of tariffs on consumer prices?
There's some divergence in inflation metrics, but the overall impact of tariffs may not be contributing significantly to inflation currently.
