Freakish Drag queens and tree huggers, and I had forgotten why I stopped listening. :(
Obviously amazing stories, often read by Stefan Rudnicki (this podcast led me to his book narrations) but: I do not recommend using this to fall asleep to, as: the alarming volume of intermittent ads will launch you out of bed.
Do you have any idea how awful it is to promote an award titled “black narrators you “should” listen to”.
Sad sad…how low we have fallen in a world where the narrators talents are less important than the amount of pigment In their skin.
What are you folks -thinking having Justine Eyre read? Her voice is simply, and utterly excruciating. It is not really a matter of personal taste, yinz. It’s like listening to a fork being jammed into an in-sink-erator. Please: just have a little mercy. Good content though, so 4 stars!
What can I say, we are set upon by darkness. Down with the mad king.

A dark fantasy and horror storytelling program featuring original short stories and poems performed by a rotating cast of veteran narrators. Episodes showcase a mix of psychological horror, supernatural tales, and dark fantasy, often exploring themes like mortality, grief, identity, trauma, and the uncanny. Narration quality is a standout, with acclaimed voice talents driving atmospheric, cinematic storytelling; however, listeners sometimes note variability in pacing and the occasional intrusive advertisement. The show frequently brings in writers and narrators with backgrounds in speculative fiction, literature, and audiobook production, making it a strong pick for fans of high-quality horror narration and genre storytelling.
