  • Poor Audio makes it hard to listen to

Great content but the audio quality is awful. There have been some episodes (the mangowurzel episode comes to mind) that are unlistenable because the background music completely drowns out the speaker. With the interviews, you can barely hear one voice while another blows out your eardrums. It’s a shame because I love the topics and the content but I find myself listening less and less because it’s just not pleasant on the ears.

Feed Your Family For a Year Audio Article and Discussion
Q: You mentioned in the beginning, what gateway would you recommend for people trying to build confidence in self-sufficiency?
Choose crops you actually like to eat and can preserve, start with one or two reliable staples, and learn a preservation method you're comfortable with (canning, freezing, drying). This helps you stay motivated and makes the plan feel doable rather than overwhelming.
Keep Going and Growing Throughout the Decades Audio Article and Discussion
Q: What do you find is the most common piece of advice you're giving out?
I suggest that everybody should know how to grow something and learn to be self-reliant. Starting small with one plant is a good way to begin.
Keep Going and Growing Throughout the Decades Audio Article and Discussion
Q: How long did it take you to observe the sun and wind patterns on your lot before you realized that spot was perfect for the setup?
It didn't take long as I examined the space and knew what was best for that specific spot.
Keep Going and Growing Throughout the Decades Audio Article and Discussion
Q: Is there a tool in there that you'll never get rid of, even if you don't use it anymore?
Yes, I have a sod cutter, which is my favorite. I keep it for occasions when I need to enlarge a garden bed or if a neighbor needs to use it.
Understanding Egg Development
Q: What are you looking for when you're candling?
You look for the darker section of the egg where the development is occurring.
