  • Does ‘ The Big Interview’ censor

In interview with Masha Gensen, the name of a Hungarian thinker is censored 3:51, by adding a bell sounds Why?

  • Don’t listen to the author interviews before reading the books...

The interviewer gives away the ending of Ottessa Moshfegh’s “DescriptionMy Year of Rest and Relaxation” through questioning plot motivations that happen within the last 10 pages of the book. This was unnecessary and completely spoiled the ending.

I wish I had not listened to this.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hanna Stjärne, The Nobel Foundation
Q: What are the practical implications of AI for the Nobel Prize in the coming years, and how will it influence science and the nomination process?
AI is expected to play an important role in science, offering tools to solve questions previously hard to crack, while also necessitating careful discussion of risks; the Foundation aims to showcase both the benefits and drawbacks as it engages with laureates and the public.
Hanna Stjärne, The Nobel Foundation
Q: What was it like to switch from being a journalist to leading the Nobel Foundation, and how did that change your hat to wear?
The transition retained a lot of similarities—an emphasis on reliable knowledge and communicating complex ideas clearly—but shifted focus toward long-term impact, international reach, and presenting science and culture to a global audience.
Jack White
Q: Final question: what does the exhibition title These Thoughts May Disappear mean to you?
It speaks to the transient nature of memory and perception; what people remember may fade, or just leave a hint, which makes the work feel alive and evolving as time passes.
Jack White
Q: Is there a medium you prefer to work in, or a certain process you keep returning to?
Music remains a core love, especially drums, but I'm drawn to transforming discarded things into sculpture and furniture, where the process of rescue and reinvention is central.
Jack White
Q: What do you think the relationship is between that skill and art?
Upholstery and craft are forms of art because they demand tactile understanding, materials, and structural thinking; they expand what people consider possible in making things.
