  • Newly diagnosed, felt embraced

I’m just getting started but I’m so glad I didn’t miss out on this. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

“ADHD and” is awesome but goes too fast for me to keep up. I have to constantly pause and go back 15 seconds to relisten. Given this is for people with slow processing, I would like it to be designed for us to digest. The content is so good it’s worth the frustration.

  • Great podcast!

Thank y’all so much for making a pod that helps me to understand myself better. I would love to hear more stories about overcoming more significant struggles with comorbid diagnoses - depression and anxiety are two big ones that come to mind, and autism (not me but ik a lot of people struggle with this one too).

Why there’s no “gold standard” for adult ADHD tests
Q: How do we know if someone has ADHD?
Diagnosis relies on a constellation of information, including questionnaires, clinical history, observer reports, and sometimes neuropsychological testing, with impairment guiding the final judgment since no single test can definitively diagnose ADHD today.
Decisions, decisions: ADHD and the trap of analysis paralysis | Sorry, I Missed This
Q: I would love to just know right off the bat, how does one become a decision-making scientist?
Dr. Schrime explains there is a formal field called decision science, which studies how people balance competing demands in decision-making, especially under uncertainty, and how to make data-driven choices.
How menopause and hormones impact ADHD symptoms in women | Sorry, I Missed This
Q: If I'm just now entering perimenopause or menopause, what are some ways that I can figure out what I need?
Use a symptom tracker to identify bothersome symptoms and patterns to discuss with a menopause specialist or focus on treating those symptoms directly.
How menopause and hormones impact ADHD symptoms in women | Sorry, I Missed This
Q: What are the actual things that we're talking about when we're having this sort of larger conversation about menopause and ADHD?
Cognitive function, sensory sensitivities, sleep issues, and emotional dysregulation all worsen during menopause, impacting ADHD symptoms.
How menopause and hormones impact ADHD symptoms in women | Sorry, I Missed This
Q: Can you kind of talk us through just what perimenopause is and why it impacts our hormones?
Perimenopause is when fertility decreases, and hormone levels, including estrogen, fluctuate, preparing the body for menopause.
