It is the Summer Holiday, and Snape finds himself forced to choose between his own life and killing an innocent for the Dark Lord.
Exams begin but things are not going well for Snape as Potter continues to torment him and he lashes out at Lily.
Christmas is in the air as Severus suffers yet another severe disappointment. The relationship between himself and Lily begins to be more strained due to a certain Gryffindor Chaser known as James Potter.
Snape has an encounter with Avery’s father that brings him to the attention of the Dark Lord, while Lily is beginning to have serious misgivings about being friends with him.

Professor Severus Snape, Hogwarts most biased and miserable Potions Master is by far my most favorite character. The harsh, cynical outer exterior of the man concealing the hurt and wounded interior makes him one of the more complex characters in the series. It is nice to see something that covers more of the early years of the man who swears to protect the child of the woman he loved and the man who tormented him.
