I have gotten a lot from this podcast generally and so much of what Nina Teicholz says in this episode is right on. You people are complete fools however if you think Trump & co are going to deliver anything you mention here. It blows my mind you could think otherwise.

Q&A: Keto for PCOS, Cravings, & Women’s Health with Temple Stewart
Q: What about testing, like how often to test ketones and with which methods?
Blood ketone meters are preferred; testing 2-3 times per week after getting established, with a focus on post-waking readings and occasional evening checks; CGMs and urine strips are also discussed as feedback tools.
Q&A: Keto for PCOS, Cravings, & Women’s Health with Temple Stewart
Q: Is long-term ketosis necessary for PCOS, or can individuals transition to less restrictive diets after metabolic health improves?
Ketosis can be kept as a flexible lever; once cycle regularizes and metabolic health improves, many can transition to a lower-carb, whole-food approach while staying mindful of carbs and metabolic signals.
Q&A: Keto for PCOS, Cravings, & Women’s Health with Temple Stewart
Q: How should ketone targets be approached for PCOS versus bipolar disorder or other mental health conditions?
Ketone goals are individualized; for PCOS she aims for mild nutritional ketosis (roughly 0.67 to 1.5 mmol/L) and may raise ketones in stubborn cases, while recognizing the overall goals of metabolic health and cycle regulation.
Q&A: Keto for PCOS, Cravings, & Women’s Health with Temple Stewart
Q: What should starting carbohydrate levels look like for a ketogenic diet, especially for someone with PCOS?
Her baseline starts at 40 grams total carbs, adjusting down to 30 or even 25 for those with metabolic concerns, and tailoring based on activity, body composition, and goals; emphasis on monitoring ketones and adjusting.
Whole-Person Psychiatry Is Changing Mental Health Care—with Meru Health’s Kristian Ranta
Q: Is Meru Health primarily a keto program, or how is diet chosen for patients?
Dietary decisions are made collaboratively; patients may request keto, which is considered if appropriate after evaluation, but the psychiatrist also assesses metabolic indicators and overall suitability before recommending either keto or a general nutrition track.
