  • Good and bad.

The Good - Madden doesn’t care what anyone thinks about him, which comes in handy when he rips apart Pittsburgh fans who can be a bit dim. He also does a great job at interviewing, and he gets some fantastic guests. He can be hilarious, especially when he’s hanging up on callers who don’t agree with him. He also knows hockey better than anyone in the local sports talk scene, and he’s well connected in the NHL world.

The Bad - He’s old, cranky and arrogant. You can hear the flem in his throa... more

HR 3 - Paul Zeise Joins, Yinzers in Paris
Q: Is Paul Skeens the best pitcher ever?

Mike argues Skeens combines elite early ERA with advanced game understanding and competitive drive, implying his short-term dominance could translate into a lasting legacy if sustained.
HR 3 - Josh Yohe Talking Malkin, Tom Hanks
Q: What are the chances Crosby can win another Cup given his age and the team's current roster?
While the host and Yohe acknowledge Crosby's exceptional talent, they suggest the window is narrowing due to age, with cautious optimism that a well-balanced mix of veteran leadership and younger players could keep them competitive.
HR 3 - Josh Yohe Talking Malkin, Tom Hanks
Q: Did Dubas want to bring back Malkin or did he feel he had to?
Yohe thinks Dubas probably felt pressure to bring back Malkin given the team's performance and playoff status, suggesting a strategic push toward keeping key veterans unless a compelling younger core could be established.

Q: How did your path from Canada to Bowling Green shape your NFL career and life in Pittsburgh?
