This show used to be exceptional. Now it is just ok. It is a Steelers podcast. I don’t care about topics that have nothing to do with football and the ENDLESS twitter questions. That never happened with Dale. Matt did not change……There is a reason I Hated the Standard before. I like to hear adults speaking about football.

I like listening to the other teams perspective before the game. Matt scouted our team really well. Didn’t disagree with much. Steelers fans this is a good pod.

  • Who Ride!!!?!?!?!!??

Enjoy the show. Listen every day or whenever I can catch up with these podcasts.

*UPDATE* RIP Dale. This show has been my go to podcast for years. I loved the daily updates and just good old “bar talk” between you and Matt. Going to really miss that…

Hopefully the Steelers can finally get that Stairway to 7.

    Godspeed brother.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hr 2: Chris Carter and Power Rankings
Q: How realistic is it to keep four quarterbacks on the roster this year?
They discuss it as a complex calculation, considering the need for depth at other positions like wide receiver and offensive line, while also weighing whether a practice-cut strategy or a mid-day three-day window could yield a favorable trade or draft capital.
Hr. 3: McCarthy Camp Presser
Q: How is the team handling special teams under the new coaching staff?
The coordinator explains a more integrated approach where special teams periods run in rhythm with offense and defense, and veteran leaders help develop the younger players.
Hr. 3: McCarthy Camp Presser
Q: What will the quarterback reps look like in the first preseason game?
The hosts discuss a plan where the starter may not dress and the backups get a defined sequence, with a focus on evaluating Howards, Allard, and Mason in carefully allocated reps.
HR3: Live from Training Camp 2026 Day 13
Q: What was that phone call like when you found out it was done?
It was surprising but expected; I was already in bed, and the agent called to loop in Nick, so I knew something big was happening and stayed up to talk.
HR3: Live from Training Camp 2026 Day 13
Q: Who was the first person you told after the deal was done, and what was that moment like?
I told my girlfriend and my parents after adding Nick to the call with my agent, then reflected on the journey and the seven years it took to get here.
