I listened to the 2024 Wish List episode and could not believe my ears. The hosts either were trying to prank me, or they have absolutely no idea what Apple TV as a platform or the company Apple as a whole are about.
Among the “highlights”:
- They suggested Apple should add keyboard and cursor support to the Apple TV because it would open up the platform as a low cost computing platform. That is what the Mac Mini is for, and Apple do not tend to cannibalize their own products these days. It ... more

Sounds like they are just reading Apple press releases, not much actual conversations. And segues are so cringe.
It’s not more cynicism needed, it’s more realism. Just listened to the recent podcast (argyle one) and you’d think the AppleVision product is some completely new tech. AR/VR has been around for years, Apple have just produced a nice looking one (see The Verge review for a good balanced review of it) The tech hasn’t taken off because people don’t want isolated experiences and alternative approaches are good enough without the downsides (weird thing stuck to face).
