Jeff and Andre are real, practical, and helpful guides on this road through work, marriage and partnership. Wish I had discovered this show sooner. Also currently reading the book - will recommend it to all friends who spend time pursuing passionate work while also pursuing their relationship and family (which is most everyone I know). Thank you, Shinabargers, for inviting us listeners along on your journey!
What I love about this podcast is that Jeff and Andre interview couples who experience life with both persons being present. Too often, I see relationships where one person’s calling/dream/vocation is made most important, while the other person takes a secondary role. There are so many episodes that I’ve sent to my husband because the stories make me feel like he and I not alone in living a life where both of us are fully present and both pursuing our dreams. Thank you!
This podcast and the Love or Work book are highly recommended! The transparency, struggles, and innate ability to have such helpful conversations on lasting relationships and continual connection with your partner in a healthy and engaging way has been something that I really appreciate. My partner and I enjoy working through the book together and listening to the podcast recommendations at the end of the chapters and having conversations that really get us forward looking. Thanks Andre and Jeff... more
