  • Fun, Informative, Easy Listening

Sometimes you just want to keep it light and listen to ppl chat about what’s going on in your area, with personal stories infused (often relatable mom reflections) and get your itinerary for the weekend all in one shot. I listen to new episodes every Tuesday and it’s just easy listening on the way to/from work. I really do recommend listening to their events portion because they’ve done the research on cool and interesting events happening throughout the Island.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Saving Grape: Live On-Site Remote at Macari Vineyards
Q: So why don't you tell us a little bit about what makes Macari wines so special?
Byron explains that the North Fork microclimate, moderated by nearby waters, gives the wines a natural brightness and a distinctive salinity across whites like Sauvignon Blanc, with styles ranging from stainless-steel fermented for crispness to more textured expressions, all aiming to capture the region's coastal character.
Santa's Unexpected Elves
Q: How should listeners prepare their holiday shipments to avoid issues?
Start early, follow the published deadlines for each service level, and get help at the post office for proper packaging, labeling, and choosing cost-effective options.
Thankful to be on Long Island! (with Theresa Caputo)
Q: What is your approach to navigating language barriers when reading internationally?
Caputo says she relies on feeling and intuition rather than language, often receiving signs or symbols in a way that transcends spoken language, which allows communication across cultures.
Thankful to be on Long Island! (with Theresa Caputo)
Q: How does podcasting differ from live shows or TV work for you?
She describes podcasting as more private readings that can reach people globally via Zoom, with readings still offering healing and meaningful moments, but less theatrical than live stage performances.
Thankful to be on Long Island! (with Theresa Caputo)
Q: What makes performing for a Long Island audience feel different from other places?
Caputo explains that Long Island audiences feel especially energetic and rooted in community; the energy is tough but affectionate, which she interprets as a sign of a strong, supportive environment that enhances her readings.
