  • Heart, soul, and curiosity!

    Be a good human!

Yes, running a business and getting all the "tactics" right is important.

But more than anything, it's about being a good human, in all aspects of life.

Because I believe people do business with people they like.

And I think that part will only grow stronger.

In this podcast you get heart, soul, and curiosity, and some really good advice from both John and his guests.

As a great host, John puts you to ease, without second guessing your work. The questions are well structured and reflect your own experience and knowledge. I enjoyed the conversations with John. And can highly recommend you follow his podcast for more episodes on how to best serve your clients.

  • Great host. Practical advice

John is a great host- he asks insightful questions to his guests- he listens to the answers rather than just preparing his next thing to say. It means that the conversations and episodes feel like they come from a place of actual care.

Why do people ghost, SEO, and Fine Art Photography | June Ask Away | ep 288
Q: How do you keep up with work as a work-from-home parent?
Recognize seasonal shifts in life and business, adjust your schedule to your current demands, seek help when needed, and structure flexible routines that allow focused work blocks while staying present with family.
Why do people ghost, SEO, and Fine Art Photography | June Ask Away | ep 288
Q: Does it hurt your SEO to use AI-written copy?
AI can help with ideation and researching what clients search for, but you should rewrite the material in your own voice to avoid penalties or detection of AI-generated content, and use AI to brainstorm rather than to produce final copy.
Why do people ghost, SEO, and Fine Art Photography | June Ask Away | ep 288
Q: Candice asks, how do I get leads to reply to my emails?
Start by ensuring your front-facing content clearly conveys who you are, your price range, and your specialty so leads pre-qualify themselves; use a good CRM to track opens, clicks, and delivery, and consider adding a secondary contact method like a phone number or text option to increase responsiveness.
Wedding Horror Stories with guest Christine Wright Part One | ep286
Q: Am I the asshole for photographing a wedding like a party when they booked my party package?
Not the asshole; the photographer should clarify packages and expectations upfront. If the event unintentionally turns into a wedding with wedding-level stakes, the photographer should communicate boundaries and pricing, and ensure contracts reflect the true scope of work.
Wedding Horror Stories with guest Christine Wright Part One | ep286
Q: Am I the asshole for asking my husband's uncle to change jackets for the wedding photos?
Not the asshole; the concern was about aesthetics in photos and the photographer warned it would look odd, while the couple tried to accommodate, but the uncle reacted poorly. The discussion centers on setting boundaries and the importance of professional guidance in photos, not political statements.
