My favorite thing about this podcast as an amateur board game designer is the content about things I hadn’t even considered. Lots of podcasts will offer help with mechanics and Kickstarter, but this one covers the legal aspects of gaming and how to protect your board game baby. The most fascinating episode that changed my perspective on how I am handling things was on taxes with a CPA. Starting a business can be overwhelming. I’m learning as I go, and this podcast is helping.
If you are trying to Kickstart or self publish games, you really need to listen to whichever episodes are relevant to your project - there’s a lot that lay people don’t know or have misconceptions about. Thanks for starting this podcast Zachary!
Zach does a great job of creating interesting conversations with people in the gaming industry. I like that Zach tries to highlight the business side that often gets overlooked. Not only is it interesting, but the podcast helps me learn what will be needed to pursue my dreams as a game developer. Keep up the great work!!
As an indie Game Dev, Zachary and his guests offers fantastic advice on just about everything! The podcast is well organized and the pace is great. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Legal Moves is a great podcast; Zach has knowledgable guests on the show and he sheds light on a portion of the gaming hobby that most people never think about. As a board gamer and law student, I can convince myself that listening to this podcast is beneficial for my schoolwork.
