  • Where to go to get a sense of crowd funding marketing strategies

I started listening to this show in 2023. This podcast, hosted by Andrew Lowen and Sean, should be added to your podcast listens if you are interested in publishing your own board games through the popular crowdfunding sites. The hosts explain what to worry about in successful crowd funding marketing, and share their experience and knowledge.

  • The best podcast on the topic!

I am gearing up for my first Kickstarter campaign, and have learned so much from this podcast. The hosts are engaging and share tons of wisdom. Their speaking style makes you feel like you are right there in the conversation with them. Their tips are very actionable - even for a total newbie like me, and in general the insight is encouraging and empowering. My only wish for the show would be to have more women guests. I don’t recall many (any?) women guests and it would be great to get a wider ... more

How to Market Your Kickstarter: During The Mid-Campaign
Q: How do you handle communication and transparency with backers during the campaign?
They stress responding to all comments when possible, maintaining transparency about updates and issues, and using dedicated team members to monitor Kickstarter activity daily to keep backers informed.
How to Market Your Kickstarter: During The Mid-Campaign
Q: What is the most meaningful way to continue momentum during a mid-campaign?
The guests emphasize rigorous pre-planning of daily activities, treating launch momentum as a continuous effort, and using structured reveals, votes, and purchasable add-ons to keep engagement and funding steady.
Discord Alternatives With Simplified Privacy
Q: How can creators protect their communities from platform risk while still engaging their audience effectively?
Use passwords and password managers, own your email list, and experiment with privacy-preserving, self-hosted or decentralized messaging protocols (Session, SimpleX, XMPP, Matrix, Nostr) so you're not dependent on a single platform and can maintain direct contact with backers.
Discord Alternatives With Simplified Privacy
Q: What makes biometric data such a red flag for privacy in fundraising platforms?
Biometric data is non-replaceable; once leaked or compromised, you can't simply change your face or fingerprint like a password. This creates a lasting vulnerability for fundraisers and their supporters, and it opens the door to broader surveillance and manipulation.
What Made Nimble RPG So Successful?
Q: Why is it important to avoid 'slog' in RPG sessions?
Slog drains fun and engagement; Nimble targets quick turns, clear execution of actions, and a focused table experience so players stay engaged rather than waiting on repetitive mechanics.
