  • The best podcast on the topic!

I am gearing up for my first Kickstarter campaign, and have learned so much from this podcast. The hosts are engaging and share tons of wisdom. Their speaking style makes you feel like you are right there in the conversation with them. Their tips are very actionable - even for a total newbie like me, and in general the insight is encouraging and empowering. My only wish for the show would be to have more women guests. I don’t recall many (any?) women guests and it would be great to get a wider ... more

Discord Alternatives With Simplified Privacy
Q: How can creators protect their communities from platform risk while still engaging their audience effectively?
Use passwords and password managers, own your email list, and experiment with privacy-preserving, self-hosted or decentralized messaging protocols (Session, SimpleX, XMPP, Matrix, Nostr) so you're not dependent on a single platform and can maintain direct contact with backers.
Discord Alternatives With Simplified Privacy
Q: What makes biometric data such a red flag for privacy in fundraising platforms?
Biometric data is non-replaceable; once leaked or compromised, you can't simply change your face or fingerprint like a password. This creates a lasting vulnerability for fundraisers and their supporters, and it opens the door to broader surveillance and manipulation.
What Made Nimble RPG So Successful?
Q: Why is it important to avoid 'slog' in RPG sessions?
Slog drains fun and engagement; Nimble targets quick turns, clear execution of actions, and a focused table experience so players stay engaged rather than waiting on repetitive mechanics.
What Made Nimble RPG So Successful?
Q: What makes Nimble different from D&D 5e in practice for players at the table?
Nimble trims the number of dice and steps, so actions resolve quickly and players aren't waiting through long back-and-forth turns; combat can proceed with fewer calculations, while still preserving a sense of tactical choice and excitement.
Making Corps of Discovery
Q: What are the key things you've learned from playtesting that apply to 'Corps of Discovery'?
You have to accept every piece of feedback and appreciate your playtesters' time, writing down their feedback is crucial for improvement.
