  • Let the guests speak !

I’m glad they had Jim Holland on but I wish they would’ve let him talk more. The host interrupts, talks over him, frames questions not open-endedly but as yes/no and the host tells more about himself than letting the guest talk. This man is fascinating and it all felt rushed .

  • Cheap

The ad breaks are annoying. Need better editing. The host is also pretty insufferable. Every thing the guests discuss leads into a story from the past—not everything is about you. It’s rude and annoying, I won’t be listening to sny more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Murder for Hire During His Police Career
Q: How did you cope with the emotional aftermath and the lack of modern crisis support at the time?
There was limited support; we were expected to return to duty quickly, and the emotional processing happened over time, often privately, without the crisis intervention resources we have today.
Murder for Hire During His Police Career
Q: You went through a situation during your police career where you had to use deadly force, am I correct?
Yes, I shot during a volatile chase, navigating the risk to bystanders, and the encounter left a lasting impact that required processing beyond the immediate aftermath.
Career In The Police And Military Stressed Their Marriage
Q: Was it easy to adapt from military to police work, and what was the hardest part for you as a spouse?
It was far from easy. The biggest challenges were long separations, constant relocations, and the emotional toll of seeing the worst days of others' lives while trying to maintain a family at home. It required hard conversations, counseling, and ultimately restructuring our relationship around a shared vision and purpose.
Career In The Police And Military Stressed Their Marriage
Q: How long have you two been married?
We've been married for 31 years, and we've seen a lot of transitions—from Navy life to law enforcement, with extensive deployments that tested our partnership but ultimately led us to deeper communication and shared purpose.
Police in Resort Vacation Areas: The Threats and Violent
Q: Before we get into your books, what possessed you to go into policing?
Policing was a family tradition and a calling, with a lineage of officers guiding his path, leading him into a career that would shape his identity and purpose.
