This is a great binge show. Enjoy the content and the hosts. Love the conspiracy theories and how it unfolds
As a bit of a Cold War spy nerd I am probably not the target audience, 8hrs and I learnt very little new info. That said it’s an entertaining listen and if your new to this time period and story you will enjoy it. I just think I knew too much pre-information to enjoy it as much as I would have done. I was hoping for some Kim Philby involvement but no mention of him at all.
I felt that the presenters did a great job of being straight forward on this story without insinuating support or objection to the main issue. This is a very interesting, potentially little known, story and the narrator is very easy to listen to. I didn’t feel any agenda either way on the topic of abortion, but rather a balanced presentation of historical events. I could almost see the streaming adaptation as I was listening.
Episodes 7-8 have editing problems with the ads, there are big silences (15 min) after the ad for The Chameleon. Otherwise the podcast is great!!
Review for Season 2: I highly recommend listening to this fascinating story in our modern history that I'm surprised I had not heard before! The host kept me entertained, informed and engaged with her well researched reporting. I would love to see this turn into a dramatized film or TV series. We need this journalistic podcast now more than ever.
