  • Great discussion

Great pod today w Kerbs discussing all things Bluex and NHL playoffs. I enjoy the way you have been adding guests when you can and as we get closer to this Draft I hope you can have some draft related guests.

With the 3 first rounders as it stands today this draft could be pivotal for this franchise. I don’t know if it would be possible to get someone from the team like a Tony Felton to come on and discuss draft strategy without saying too much but drafts just are fascinating to me

  • Canadian Goalies

You were talking about Canadian goalies for the next Olympics and rightfully mentioned Joel Hofer.

Another name to keep in mind is Carter Hart he was suspended for a bit because of that situation with the Canadian World Jr team. Those players were acquitted and he is playing w Vegas and trying to regain his form. If he returns to form he can be an elite goalie as well

  • Adam Jiricek

You guys were talking about the Blues prospects and were correct in giving Love Harenstam props for being top goaltender of the tournament. Adam Jiricek had a tremendous tournament himself and was named top D-man at the tournament.

  • Lucic over Texier

I think Milan Lucic is a far better choice for the extra forward then Texier and all you have to do is read the tea leaves. Texier has been on this team since Berube was still the head coach and he hadn’t been able to grab a roster spot. See ya later.

This team lacks toughness at times, Lucic can still throw hands and he can move well enough to get around Pat Maroon did it last year for the Hawks. No offense this the Big Rig. There isn’t a lot of scrapping in the NHL anymore I get it but if you... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Answering Listener Emails with Jordan Deeken
Q: What if the Blues traded Kyrou for a top-tier asset?
They would likely seek an NHL-level impact player or a top-tier prospect rather than a low first-round pick, because Kyrou's speed and upside are high-value assets in the right market; a trade would hinge on a partner offering a definitive upgrade over what the Blues can develop internally.
Chris Kerber Joins The Show
Q: What is the main factor driving fan excitement for the Blues this offseason?
Fans are excited because of the combination of a promising group of young players in the pipeline, the retention of trust in the organization's process, and the potential for internal development rather than quick, big-name acquisitions.
Are Changes Coming?
Q: So, do you guys do stuff on New Year's?
I like to stay home on New Year's. This year, I'm going to be doing pre and post game for the Blues.
We Just Can't Quit This Team
Q: What do you think the conversations are like between Montgomery and Steen and Armstrong?
The coach has input on player personnel and could push back against management, but ultimately, decisions are often made by management based on the roster's future.
JOEY VITALE joins the show
Q: Can leadership be taught to somebody that can come into the locker room that maybe is not a great team player?
Leadership is a learned trait and often requires mentorship to develop effectively.
