  • Southern substance

As a California native and a storyteller, I’m fascinated by cultures and slices of life other than my own. LandonTalks with Kate is such an inviting slice of life. What I really enjoy about Landon and Kate is that their authenticity is genuine, and they’re great listeners. They made me feel that southern life wasn’t exclusive, but had cultural value. Southern substance I highly recommend.

  • Takin’ To The Bed

On the night of our wedding 37 years ago my husband and I each picked “our side” of the bed.

Two years ago he decided his shoulder hurt him too much and wanted to switch sides. I offered him the choice of Advil or a divorce. My side is MY side. Periodt.

  • Fall Decor Schedule

1000% CORRECT! Of my many peeves, incorrect seasonal decorating is high on the list. So much so that I actually wrote the whole seasonal decorating rules out and shared it on my FB many years ago because some friends needed to do better but I of course did not want to embarrass them by publicly shaming them. (Although rotting pumpkins and mums on your porch alongside your Christmas pine garland and lights will get you VERY close to that particular circumstance). Anyhoo, your schedule is spot on!... more
