It’s hard to know what to say but it feels like I need to say something. This show has brought me so much joy and endless entertainment as a native WeHo-an / Angeleno who happens to be Jewish and who went to CSUN many, many moons ago (the Venn diagram has multiple overlapping circles). I feel like I’ve been listening to LA Meekly since they started, but the truth is I somehow only discovered them in the Spring of 2023. I quickly became enamored with these guys. It’s like chatting and messing ar... more
Like Mike Davis and Joan Didion, only funnier.
I’ve been listening to these guys since COVID and love them, their mixture of humor, knowledge and love for their city is amazing. I especially love how rigorous they are about finding credible sources for their information.
I've been listening to these guys for years now, they're a mainstay of my podcast lineup and I relisten to episodes in between releases. The tone is light and conversational while still being informative and insightful. The jokes and prolonged bits give the show a charm that keeps me coming back and each episode stirs my curiosity in the city around me. They're also reliable, I know every first of the month I can look forward to a new episode to enjoy.
I love these guys - their passion for history, fact-checking, and their love for LA/CA. Anyone who doesn’t find them funny needs to check in to the hospital (no insurance needed) for Joy deficiency. YOU GUYS ROCK!
