It is very well explained and you can tell that the team knows what they are doing but I am sad to see the old host leave
It got me more interested in Mongolian history
Craig is an awesome host and the way he tells the title of the show always fires me up! Really great big picture deep dive into why China is the way China is today, your next show should be the Germanic tribes from Caesar to the Germanic invasion which downed the Roman Empire. Just a thought, keep up the great work!

The show covers expansive, detail-rich histories of East Asia and related theaters, with a strong emphasis on campaigns, battles, and strategic decisions across the Sino-Japanese War and broader 20th-century conflicts. Episodes frequently weave battlefield maneuvers, leadership choices, and political context into narrative arcs, often highlighting command dynamics, morale, and the human costs of war. A notable niche is the integration of primary-source-style color with accessible storytelling, occasionally featuring first-hand memories and perspectives from participants. Listeners can expect rigorous military-history storytelling, balanced discussion of competing narratives, and thorough maps and timelines to trace complex campaigns.
