They told you that you shouldn't study Kabbalah until you're forty...But I'm here to break this down because the lack of nuance (and general Christian-hegemonic paradigms we carry with us) means that we interpret this in strange ways..

I’m not Jewish, but I’ve found this to be an incredible, engaging, informative source of information. I have a broader appreciation for the full scope of what a “witch” can be. And I’ve learned useful lessons that inform my efforts to be respectful of indigenous folkways and closed practices.
Like mentioned in the episode “Why do I use the word Witches?” I was one of those 80s/90s kids watching Charmed and Sabrina the Teenage Witch with friends who identified as Wiccan. I was intrigued by all they shared but never could imagine calling myself a witch.
I love learning the history around Jewish Folk Magic. This podcast is exactly what my mind and heart have been craving for the last 25 years.
I love the content! So informational, a needed perspective on this! For the audio, it’s hard to decide what volume to listen to because many sentences are started with a lot of hard emphasis which is harsh on the ears but when the is lowered, it’s hard to hear the parts you talk softer and faster through.
Please make more episodes on the magic of Jewish women. Thank you so much for addressing this. This hits to so much of the dogma and patriarchal aspects of Judaism that I really disliked growing up with. I really appreciate & would love to hear more about women’s magic in Judaism.
I LOVE your episodes and am missing hearing new ones. What’s available to me shows the last episode a year ago. Will you continue to make the podcast?
