My husband and I were leaders within the church, grew up in the church wholeheartedly walked in the faith in every area. Parents were pastors and then we walked through what many are walking through as well. We walked away from our church. We were isolated, and realized too how much of what we were so certain of to our core, was not actually biblically sound. We began searching and rebuilding our theological understanding. And then we found Ben’s writings and now podcast. Thank you. You speak in... more
Ben’s sermons each week feel like applying aloe to a sunburn. The world is chaotic and what we witness and hear about on a daily basis sting. This podcast soothes the soul. Ben’s continued commitment and encouragement to have gentle witness, nonviolent resistance, tender hearts, and strong and inspiring convictions is exactly what this world needs. His willingness to offer grace to those who repent while holding firm to what is and isn’t Christlike is a difficult, yet beautiful line to walk. If ... more
I’m thankful I’ve found this podcast. I’ve left church about a year ago and kept diving into God’s words for my confusion doubt and questions on what’s happening in our country today. And listening to this podcast cast today is helping maintain the faith and keep fighting the good fight. Every church in my area has been brainwashed into this hateful movement that I won’t be part of because I know it’s not from God. Thank you for your work. It is blessings me and my family.
Ben Cremer has been a lifeline for me as a voice crying in the wilderness. So much of what has been happening has undermined and made me question my faith, but his ability to articulate the way of Jesus and to speak truth about our reality has enabled me to hold on. So grateful for him.
His prayers of lament are beautiful and touch my soul.
A bright light in these troubled times. Thank you and God bless you.

Thoughtful, scripture-informed discussions about faith, justice, and leadership shape a contemplative weekly voice. Episodes frequently address disillusionment with religious institutions, critique political power in Christianity, and center compassion, mercy, and communal care as core Weariness meets hopeful persistence, with a steady emphasis on living out love in the world. A distinctive thread is reframing traditional power dynamics—promoting humility, inclusion, and lay leadership over spectacle or nationalist tropes—paired with practical spiritual guidance and calm, meditative teaching. This mix makes it appealing for listeners seeking intellectual honesty, pastoral tenderness, and a call to action grounded in Jesus' teachings.
