The tailgate podcast and its hosts are fun, funny, in touch and have high ball knowledge. I listened to their episodes at first to catch what I missed in lacrosse on week but I keep returning to their Monday podcasts to learn more about the sort and get a few laughs from their humor. A perfect blend of personalities that doesn’t cross the line into feeling like PLL propaganda
My intro to this sport was watching my won grow up playing it. Now he hopes to play in college and I’m trying to support. I found this podcast and it has increased my lax IQ by 1000%. I now watch as many NCAA and PLL games as I can. Thanks to this show, I am starting to see more of the subtleties. I think it’s the world’s greatest sport w/ world’s most exciting athletes. It’s great to know this level of analysis exists out there and it’s fun to listen to.
Nick tries a little too hard to be funny, and he doesn’t always seem prepared for the pod. I don’t get the sense he watches the games very closely, other than the ones ND plays in during the season. Kemp is outstanding and I enjoy listening to his analysis. You can tell he watches the games very closely. Terry is great, and I like that he punches back when he disagrees with his co-hosts.
Excellent weekly analysis and throwback metaphors. I do miss Nick though.
A day after the NCAA opening round and The Tailgate gives one sentence each on half of the games played. Underwhelming content for “the source of the sport”. Osello thinks he’s PFT Commenter and Terry uses a lot of words to say a little.
