I loved Xena when it first aired. And it loved me back. Justine and Hayley clearly love Xena as well. Listening to them on their rewatch is like reminiscing with old friends.

This podcast reminded me how important myths are to the development of self, values, and place in the community. This lifelong friendship between Justine and Hayley rests on their mutual love of Xena, but is much more. It is full of their banter, which is fun, and also intricate descriptions of ancient myths. However, their deconstruction of how Xena affected them and their friendship over the years illustrates the power of mythology to the development of character. Gals rock!
