  • Plain stupidity or misinformation?

So much misinformation spread in the anti black Latinos episodes. You should know what those words mean in Spanish or at least in Mexico.

Thank you so much for bringing these insightful stories to us all. The one I just listened to was the one with Caesar in regard to his walk after prison, it’s good to hear that America is starting to bring light and proactive solutions to reduce recidivism. I hope to listen to more of this podcast. Lucy you did an amazing job!

Inside a Southern California church, where Muslims, Jews, and Christians all pray
Q: How did Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center end up at First United Methodist Church?
The Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center burned down in the Eaton Fire, and the church offered temporary space to the congregation while their own building was rebuilt, enabling a lasting interfaith arrangement.
Looming strike, budget deficit, and superintendent under federal investigation. What it could all mean for LAUSD's 400,000 students and staff
Q: Mariana, what would a strike mean for students and their families?
A strike would likely close schools and disrupt meals, child care, and supervision, with the burden falling hardest on working families and students who rely on district services, including those with disabilities who need consistent supports.
Route 66 has a 100-year legacy of American road trips and expansion, but the Mother Road had its problems too
Q: So what made you want to report on the 100th anniversary of Route 66?
Cato explains the road's iconic status in California and its complex history, including its romanticization, its role in migration, and how racialized experiences shaped its legacy; the goal was to explore how Route 66 influenced communities and ultimately declined under interstate expansion.
We did the math: Men speak way more than women in the 10 films up for the top Oscar
Q: What does this say about the industry beyond these films?
The disparity in dialogue suggests institutional priorities in which stories are elevated, indicating a need for broader structural changes behind and in front of the camera to promote more inclusive storytelling.
