Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

E22: I’m not dead (Proof of Life) Reinvention
Q: How did you feel about that person from back then to who you are today?
I wish I could tell her that what you're about to go through is going to teach you that you can bet on yourself every time.
E22: I’m not dead (Proof of Life) Reinvention
Q: How did you navigate the pivot from TV producer to children's author advocating for diversity and joy in storytelling?
Honestly, becoming a mom gave me the strength to do that. I saw that there was a need out there, which inspired me to try and do something about it.
E23: I’m not dead (Proof of Life) Self Love
Q: Nadene, we want to know, how has your love for yourself changed from now to the Nadine from years ago?
If we're lucky, something sparks within us and we're able to unravel those stories and come back to that childlike love that we were born with after facing a rock bottom moment.
E23: I’m not dead (Proof of Life) Self Love
Q: Irini, we want to know. Will you share a little bit about your own recovery journey and what that process would like for you?
My recovery journey started at an intervention when I was really dying. I realized that I really did survive and that recovery is everything; it's that second chance and giving back.
E23: I’m not dead (Proof of Life) Self Love
Q: Elizabeth, we want to know. Loving yourself, self-love, whatever you want to call it, is a life-long journey.
Loving myself was through the eyes of others and not through my own experience. I realized that I felt very deeply alone over and over again, even though I was getting more affirmation, more approval around me.
