  • Great stuff

Hunt is a no nonsense, high quality broadcaster. He doesn’t take himself too seriously, and owns his bad predictions up front. Very refreshing.

All sports, all the time. No pop culture or politics. Cannot recommend him highly enough.

If you are an LSU fan, this is definitely the show for you. Informative and thoughtful.

Still needs to watch Zoolander, but nobody is perfect. 😉

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Todd Horne | SEC Baseball Preview | Travis Etienne Jr Speaks | Hour 2
Q: What is the core goal of the public records lawsuit against LSU?
The goal is to clarify whether revenue share money spent by LSU on student-athletes is subject to public records law and whether it should be disclosed, potentially setting a legal precedent and protecting LSU from future exposure.
SEC Baseball Predictions | Alvin Kamara Out? | Joe Healy | Hour 1
Q: Joe, how are you feeling about the early SEC results and the Florida-LSU weekend mismatches?
Healy emphasizes that while there were some surprising results, the overall landscape shows LSU needs to tighten up both offense and defense, and that early impressions will evolve as conference play consolidates.
Weekend Baseball Preview | Preston Guy | Saints NFLPA Grades | Hour 1
Q: Is it sustainable to go sign 40 kids a year and spend as much money as LSU did this year in the portal?
The guest argues that bringing in 40 portal players yearly is unsustainable and would lead to constant roster turnover; a more practical target is around 20 combined high school and portal players, with a balance that preserves continuity and long-term development.
Weekend Baseball Preview | Preston Guy | Saints NFLPA Grades | Hour 1
Q: Let's shift over to recruiting Preston, if we could. How do you feel like LSU potentially stacks up there?
Preston explains that LSU's NIL landscape and hometown recruiting pressures are strong, noting Royall's commitment to Texas and the competition with NIL offers, while highlighting LSU's end with Warren Easton and the need to compete financially to keep in-state top talent.
Koki Riley | No State Icom Tax For NIL | SEC Baseball Power Rankings | Hour 2
Q: What do you think about the NIL tax discussion and its potential impact on recruiting?
It's a meaningful factor in recruiting, especially when the tax burden for a top quarterback or star player difference can swing decisions between states with and without state income tax. The practical impact is that even a relatively small percentage can influence where top talent signs, particularly when offers are similar across competing programs.
