  • Great way to get news on the team.

Good reporting, straightforward news with good banter between the pundits. The best journalistic outfit covering NYCFC.

  • Very informative podcast from the most authoritative independent news site covering the team

As NYCFC, and MLS, gradually become global brands it’s important there are podcasts that cover the team in detail for those of us outside the US. Other NYCFC podcasts do a great job of speaking as fans to the fans. But this new pod from Hudson River Blue is close enough to the team to be informed but removed enough to fill the gap in Big Apple professional soccer coverage left by the old-school news organisations. Thoroughly recommended.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Messi Mania, winless woes
Q: What were your thoughts on NYCFC's performance against Philadelphia?
NYCFC appeared to dominate the match in terms of chances but failed to score, while allowing five goals against them, highlighting missed opportunities and defensive errors.
Approaching crunch time in Cincinnati
Q: How do you kind of see the game going?
I predict a low-scoring match because while the defense is solid, the offensive form hasn’t been consistent enough.
Approaching crunch time in Cincinnati
Q: How do you kind of see that back line holding up?
Cincinnati's defense, if it stays solid, could be a significant factor; however, they struggle after conceding early goals.
Approaching crunch time in Cincinnati
Q: Do you kind of see him playing up the pitch more going forward?
Yes, it’s important that Kubo is utilized effectively as he has been the most consistent goalscorer for Cincinnati.
Approaching crunch time in Cincinnati
Q: So just how do you kind of see Cincinnati making a run?
Cincinnati has talent but has struggled to find form; anything can happen in the playoffs, especially with a player like Lucho Acosta.
