  • LoHo’s the best

While I appreciate his coverage of Chicago sports, I really do love it when Laurence reviews sci-fi movies.

  • Just meh...

For someone who claims to have a lot to say, this podcast doesn’t quite deliver. The content often feels self-indulgent and, frankly, a bit dull. It’s not completely unlistenable, but it often teeters on the edge like a professor who makes the lecture about themselves instead of the material - even if it is mainly sports.

  • Do not listen until they stop running ICE adverts

Love Laurence and have been a long time fan but I can't recommend this pod until they stop running ICE advertisements. I'm kind of appalled by it and it isn't just here but the Youtube channel as well.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sarah Spain Returns
Q: How hard is it to write a book?
Writing a book can be very lonely and challenging, especially coming from a collaborative environment like radio.
Anthony "Spice" Adams: Sports Dad
Q: Were you ever worried about maybe pushing your son into football, even if he wasn't interested in football because of your life in the NFL?
Yes, because pressing him could make it unenjoyable. I let him gravitate to it naturally.
Tim MacMahon Talks Buckets
Q: How did the relationship get so bad that you then end up with the choice of super max deal or trade them because we don't want to pay them?
The relationship frayed significantly, especially with critical management decisions impacting trust.
A Few Minutes w/ Bubba
Q: Do you ever feel any pressure being that you're kind of someone who is able to drift between a couple different worlds?
No, I don't really see this pressure... if I can do that, then you just start to create another, a bigger name for yourself.
A Few Minutes w/ Bubba
Q: What's been your experience in Chicago with the street race and how much fun has it been for you?
I've actually thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe it surprised me a lot, but I did not know what to expect and I wasn't really a fan of the idea when it came about.
