Update 7/2026: Fellow adult milk drinker here…yes, it’s ideal with pasta (and rice Krispy treats). Go Sox!
Been a fan of Bernsie since I graduated college in 1998; it was the classic Boers and Bernstein team. By cracky, Larry Horse is back! I took a break from sports radio and WSCR after Sox hit toilet and some of my own personal situations. I was at gym and remembered I wanted to hear him talk about the Bears and then learned all about the “situation” in March. This is better anyway. The Score... more
I hit DBU & forward progress. Both are equally great! Thank you!
I’m a fan of Dan, but this podcast seems to be “All Bears All the Time.” I would like to hear more about the White Sox.
There is such good stuff here when it comes to sports, but not sure why these smart people could think anyone wants to hear about their children’s pedantic sports achievements or what fish they most recently caught. Here for the intelligent sports takes but the rest is just tired narcissism.
DBU shows why podcasting is the perfect medium for all of your favorite radio personalities. Dan and Matt can now be themselves in the best way possible: talking sports without the distraction of useless callers, going “off-topic” without corporate guardrails blunting their passion, being themselves without oppressive sponsorships (or the FCC) directing their every word. If you were a fan of their work on The Score, this is the show you wish their midday show was.

The show is a blunt, Chicago-centered sports talker that leans into long-form, opinionated takes across Bears, Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks, with detours into sports business, media, and local culture. Episodes frequently hinge on current local storylines (stadium debates, trades, management moves) while blending sharp analysis with candid banter and sponsor reads. A standout is the unapologetically opinionated tone, paired with deep knowledge of Chicago sports history and a willingness to challenge conventional narratives, which makes it compelling for listeners who want unfiltered perspectives and a sense of regional camaraderie across teams.
