I love this podcast and all its shows. I’ve been listening everyday for 15 years. I’ve learned so much & it makes me so happy. No politics or world talk bringing you down. Shows are usually always very entertaining.

If you love horses, even if you don’t have one, you will be entertained. The hosts of all the shows are so likeable and I feel like I know them personally even though I’ve never met them in person. It’s also great to be an auditor so you can take part in many aspects of the show lik... more

  • Best. Podcast. Ever.

If you are at all interested in horses, this is a must listen. Horses in the Morning is my favorite but other shows are also excellent. Glenn and Jamie are two of the greatest people you could ever hope to meet. They are so informative and highly entertaining at the same time. HITM helps me to be a better horse owner and also helps me to know other people are dealing with the ups and downs of horse ownership too. I haven’t missed an episode in 7 years and even listen to prior ones on their websi... more

Scott Jagow and Realli Bad Adz for June 19, 2026 by Kentucky Performance Products - Horses in the Morning
Q: What have you been up to since leaving the Pollock Report and moving to Saratoga Springs?
Scott Jagow explains his move, his interest in Saratoga as the racing mecca, and his plans to continue outreach in the horse industry through new projects and potential podcasting opportunities.
Feeding Horses S1 E4: Hay is for Horses, Part 2
Q: What role does hay analysis play in making feeding decisions?
Hay analysis provides essential data on moisture, energy, protein, minerals, and other nutrients, enabling a nutritionist to optimize rations, reduce waste, and plan purchases more effectively.
Feeding Horses S1 E4: Hay is for Horses, Part 2
Q: Is hay that has been rained on necessarily ruined for feeding?
Rain exposure isn't necessarily ruinous if the hay can be dried properly and put up; treat reduced nutrient content as something to test and monitor rather than assuming it is unusable.
Feeding Horses S1 E4: Hay is for Horses, Part 2
Q: What is the most important factor to look for when buying hay at the stack or lot?
The most important factor is knowing how big the bale is and how much hay it contains, since feeding is done by pounds of hay, not by the bale; weight ranges help you estimate your needs more accurately.
Throwback Episode: Not All Laminitis Is Created Equal - The Humble Hoof
Q: When is a tenotomy considered, and what are the expectations post-surgery?
A tenotomy is considered in severe cases where the lamina is severely compromised and other measures fail; postoperative management includes a period of immobilization and a derotation shoe, with a focus on restoring function and allowing the hoof to rehab barefoot if possible.
