I love this podcast and all its shows. I’ve been listening everyday for 15 years. I’ve learned so much & it makes me so happy. No politics or world talk bringing you down. Shows are usually always very entertaining.

If you love horses, even if you don’t have one, you will be entertained. The hosts of all the shows are so likeable and I feel like I know them personally even though I’ve never met them in person. It’s also great to be an auditor so you can take part in many aspects of the show lik... more

  • Best. Podcast. Ever.

If you are at all interested in horses, this is a must listen. Horses in the Morning is my favorite but other shows are also excellent. Glenn and Jamie are two of the greatest people you could ever hope to meet. They are so informative and highly entertaining at the same time. HITM helps me to be a better horse owner and also helps me to know other people are dealing with the ups and downs of horse ownership too. I haven’t missed an episode in 7 years and even listen to prior ones on their websi... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Day 1 Live from Equine Affaire Ohio for April 10, 2026 - Horses in the Morning

Day 1 Live from Equine Affaire Ohio for April 10, 2026 - Horses in the Morning
Q: What was it like performing Fantasia for the first time with your two Andalusians?
Jessica explained the learning curve, the thrill of debuting a new act, and the balance between practice and performance, emphasizing how confidence grows when you push through the fear of missteps.
The Disease Du Jour 179: Diagnosing and Managing Equine Soft Tissue Injuries with Dr. Kara Brown
Q: To get us started, can you briefly walk us through the pathophysiology of tendon and ligament injuries?
Tendon and ligament injuries usually result from chronic repetitive strain rather than a single traumatic event. Degeneration leads to inflammation, and over time the tissue loses its structural integrity due to scar-like repair tissue, which is strong but not elastic, making re-injury likely especially if the horse continues to be worked.
Daily Vet Life 71: An Anaphylaxis Emergency
Q: Why were steroids avoided, and what was the key to rapidly reducing hematocrit?
Steroids were avoided due to the risk of inducing laminitis in a horse with multiple risk factors, and the rapid hematocrit reduction was achieved through careful, staged bloodletting alongside continued crystalloid fluid therapy.
Daily Vet Life 71: An Anaphylaxis Emergency
Q: What ultimately differentiated this case as vaccine-related polycythemia rather than a primary hematologic issue?
Bone marrow aspirate ruled out cancer, and the timeline with vaccination suggested a secondary reactive process likely related to a rare anaphylactic response causing polycythemia and hyperviscosity, rather than a primary bone marrow disorder.
