After talking about health as we always do because we’re old, we pivot to diet — specifically veganism. Cori, who has never cared about animal rights, gamely steel-mans an argument in favor, while Nina, whose bleeding heart has caused anemia and poss... more
After obligatory discussion of the weather and other old people stuff, Cori lulls Nina to sleep with tales of AI: training software developers to use Claude Code, how one set of commands yielded 20 results, and other top-tier content. Then he relates... more
Recording shortly before Cori deletes his X account, the Dorx discuss chometz, pre-Pesach purging, and locking breakfast cereal in the basement. Nina feels “more Zionist than usual” and Cori criticizes Israel. Then Nina nerds out on recumbent bike hi... more

Nina has become a super annoying downer, constantly lamenting the career she thinks she would have had if it hadn’t been for that pesky trans culture war. Every episode she harps on the same old griefs. Cori is mostly still tolerable. They reached a peak with the Brianna Wu ep and then cratered.
Listening to Brianna Wu episodes I laughed out loud. Her histrionic opinion about JK Rowling was proved unsupportable by clearly laid out facts - she admits she did no research but parroted other people’s conclusions and that’s all that matters. Love her diagnosis of Nina as broken as the only reason for Nina holding her own views.
Love you Nina!!! You have some real lady balls. Love this show.
The latest episode where newly religious convert Cohn cluelessly tries to make pronouncements about who can be considered Jewish or not demonstrates clearly that he still has the hardline thinking that caused him to make a previous transition he now thinks was wrong - how he can’t see this is beyond exasperating and might make me drop this show. He needs a shrink or medication or whatever would help him grow up. He is his own worst enemy.
I sooo look forward to Heterodorx episodes. Every single time…
So good. So real.
The hosts create a casual, conversational vibe that works really well. You definitely will hear things from guests that you don’t hear when they appear on other shows. Their ability to stay civil , patient and good natured even when talking to guests who become hostile and/or semi coherent (ie Brianna Wu) is truly admirable. Great podcast.
