I avoid a lot of podcasts because a lot of uneducated people have a lot to say and I don’t care to listen to them if they don’t fact check or cite their sources.
Not the grifty squad; grifty helps me critically think about things in ways i’d have to pay for a graduate school degree or education to learn. I appreciate how diverse the team and guests are, they really walk the talk in their work. thank you for all you do Grifty squad!!
So good
This podcast keeps me sane these days. Really appreciate the nuanced takes and variety of voices adding context to the current moment. Thank you, Azi!
I like Azi and the dudes. Amanda is out of her league in terms of being able to keep up with thoughtful analysis of these complex topics. Overall, it’s a decent listen but something feels a little stale. I liked listening to a few of them but I don’t feel compelled to go back- not totally sure why.

A must... more

Grifty offers a sharp, often critical look at politics, media, and culture through a late-stage capitalism lens. Episodes frequently tackle how misinformation, conspiracy theories, and power dynamics shape public discourse, while also exploring activism, democracy, and community resilience. The mix of historical context, personal anecdotes, and cross-cutting guest perspectives creates a thoughtful space for listeners who want nuanced analysis and tools for critical thinking. A notable edge is the emphasis on mental health, media literacy, and practical ways to engage with pressing social issues without surrendering intellectual rigor or humor.
